Seizure # 3

Our darling little girl had her 3rd seizure on Monday. I was actually beginning to think since she is on medication that she would never have another seizure so of course I let me guard down. My advice never let your guard down! I found Clara unoconscious in her crib Monday evening around 5:00pm. We immediately called 911 and gave her diastat to stop the seizure. We have no idea how long she was seizing. The ambulance came once again and we rushed her to the hospital. They kept us over night and ran several more tests on Clara. All of which were very very scary and painful for her. All of the tests came back negative so we are still lost. As parents we are so emotionally drained. We don't know what to do for our little girl. Please keep us in your prayers. As a mother all I want to do is protect my baby!

Our next plan of action is to take her to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. We are hoping for an appointment very soon.

Thanksgiving

Well, Clara's 1st Thanksgiving was wonderful... we drove to Topeka to spend the holiday with the Kennedy side of the family. Talk about a packed house, all five girls were home...not to mention spouses and kiddos. In all I think there were 12 of us: Dad, Amy, Anne, Scott, Lilly, Ben, Me, Bryce, Clara, Megan, Sarah, Rachel. It was really wonderful. Clara and Lilly played non-stop. I am pretty sure Lilly was fed up with Clara taking her toys without asking. Ben and Clara are almost the same size... it's a sight to see. We headed home on Thursday afternoon and made our way to Bryce's parents house. The rest of the weeked was so much fun because Bryce's sister Carey and her husband Pat stayed with us, and also Bryce's aunt Kathy was here from Michigan visiting. What an amazing family!

Now we are counting down the days until Christmas break... we get 17 days this year :)
